History:
Policelli Lighting & Design was established in 1983. If you can imagine for a moment, there were only 28 fixtures on display within our 1800 square foot showroom!
We began as a "trade only" showroom to serve the San Francisco Design Community with Contemporary high end lighting products.
Growth:
As Policelli experienced growth through the design community, near the SF Design Center, we expanded our product collection to include different styles of fabulous lighting, by adding transitional, traditional, classic venetian and the all important custom fabrications with Bay Area Artesans such as Lightspann, Bacchus, Neidhardt and Krasslight.
We reached into both ends of the design budget, and included the moderately priced products as well as the very high end creations. The focus always remained on excellent quality for the price, as we want to assure that our clients got everything they paid for and recieved the most for their budgetary needs.
Intent:
Our business focus has been, and continues to be, to bring the newest designs into the Bay Area.
To research and keep in tune with today's trends and fashion in the lighing design industry.

Today:
In recent years, the SFDC announced they would open the doors of the Design Center to the public for browsing, and this has developed into a two level pricing philosophy for Policelli.
We still extend maximum courtesies to the professional registered trade, but have also expanded to sell directly to end users at competitive prices, to compete with today's internet e-commerce sites.
As we ourselves do not offer an e-commerce site, a buyer need only contact the showroom to make purchase arrangements at competitive prices.
And let's all keep in mind the saying....

It was the first San Francisco showroom to focus primarily on the evolving new popularity of imported Contemporary lighting designs from Artemide, Vistosi, Mazzegga, Foscarini. They had to be from Murano, new and they had to be fabulous.
In the beginning, if it wasn't high tech, black, red or chrome, we didn't carry it.
and local regulations pertaining to building codes, to include the use of Fluorescent and LED lighting.
And especially to develope and maintain long term relationships with our clients, through trust, dependability and excellent customer service.
